Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve The journey begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, traveling through the Great Rift Valley. Authoritative accounts of Kenyan geography highlight the Rift Valley as a major tectonic feature that provides a dramatic descent into the plains. A stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint allows for photography before proceeding to Narok town for lunch. Upon arrival at the Maasai Mara, guests check into Enkorok Mara Camp. An introductory late-afternoon game drive (typically 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM) offers the first opportunity to spot the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino).

Day 2: Full Day Game Viewing in the Reserve This day is dedicated to a comprehensive exploration of the reserve. The Maasai Mara is part of the larger Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, which supports the highest density of terrestrial mammals in East Africa. Guests carry a picnic lunch to maximize time in the field, visiting the Mara River—the site of the dramatic wildebeest crossings during the peak season (July–September). The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at Enkorok Mara Camp.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi Following breakfast, the group departs the reserve. An optional visit to a Maasai cultural village is often included, providing insight into the traditional pastoralist lifestyle of the Maasai people. The tour concludes with a late afternoon arrival in Nairobi.
