This 7-day adventure is designed for travelers seeking an authentic African wilderness experience without the luxury price tag. The journey traverses the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the “Big Five” and the spectacular Great Migration, before heading to Lake Nakuru National Park, a premier sanctuary for endangered Black and White Rhinos and vibrant birdlife

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara Pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport between 07:30 and 08:00. Drive through the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the panoramic viewpoint. Arrive at Lenchada Camp for lunch, followed by an evening game drive to spot lions, cheetahs, and elephants.
Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day Exploration Spend the entire day exploring the vast savannah. Visit the Mara River, the site of the Great Migration crossings, to observe hippos and Nile crocodiles. A picnic lunch is served under a croton tree overlooking the plains.
Day 3: Masai Mara In-Depth Tracking Another full day dedicated to tracking the “Big Five.” This day allows for deeper exploration into the remote corners of the reserve where leopard sightings are more frequent. Optional evening visit to a Maasai Village ($20).
Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru After an early morning game drive and breakfast, depart the Mara for Nakuru. Enjoy a scenic drive with lunch en route. Arrive in Nakuru town in the evening for dinner and overnight at Buraha Zenoni or Nyati Game Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park Full day in Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is a haven for bird watchers and is one of the best places in Kenya to see both Black and White Rhinos. You will also search for the rare Rothschild giraffe and tree-climbing lions.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru Nature & Wildlife A second day in the Nakuru ecosystem allows for a visit to the Makalia Falls and Baboon Cliff for a bird’s-eye view of the lake. The afternoon is spent tracking leopards and buffaloes in the acacia woodlands.
Day 7: Nakuru to Nairobi Final morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast. Depart for Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
