- Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park Depart Nairobi in the morning, descending the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive at Lake Nakuru for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. This park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site and a sanctuary for endangered Black and White Rhinos.
- Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve Early morning game drive in Nakuru to spot leopards and flamingos. After breakfast, drive across the floor of the Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara, arriving for an evening game viewing session.
- Day 3: Full Day in Maasai Mara Extensive game drives in search of the “Big Five.” The Mara offers the highest concentration of wild mammals in the world. Visit the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles.
- Day 4: Maasai Mara (Deep Savannah Exploration) A second full day in the Mara allows for flexible tracking of the Great Migration (seasonal) or cheetah hunts. Optional visit to a Maasai Manyatta to experience local culture and traditional customs.
- Day 5: Maasai Mara (Northern Conservancies/Central Plains) Explore different sectors of the reserve, such as the Musiara Marsh or the Sand River gate area, maximizing photographic opportunities of lions and elephants.
- Day 6: Maasai Mara to Nairobi Final early morning “sun-up” game drive. After a hearty breakfast, depart the reserve and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon for your onward flight.
